Marian High School does a fantastic job of preparing young women for the demands of college. The expectations around preparedness, homework and time managment are quite high. However, the school itself needs to evolve--the physical environment is drab and dreary, stuck in the 1950s, when the school was built. Students are, in my opinion, unreasonably expected to adhere to uniform guidelines at all times, and risk receiving detentions for minor infractions. Little things like these tended to make a big impact on student morale, which is concerning.
