About the MEAP
What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).

I agree this school is an uncontrolled mess. Bullying is out of hand, and learning is diminished by constant discipline problems. The principle is an absolute clown, and so is the middle school dean. I'm a little surprised that the test rating score is only a 3. Seems like they could have done better considering the way that they have cheated on testing.

Burton Glen Charter Academy
This school is just terrible, poor leadreship and they show favortism to black students over white ones. I would never send my child or recommend anyone to go there. They have adminstration that have never been a teacher which is clearly STUPID! Staff is not valued and parents are shunned by mrs meriweather and leadership team.
