About the MEAP
What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).

Katie Olesky: Teachers, Administrators and parents work together for every child's success. Wonderful school, wonderful community, very open and nice to school of choice parents. Overall an excellent school that rivals/exceeds all peer districts and even rivals high quality private schools. Smaller class sizes in the younger grades - a very commited and wonderful principal (Mr. Metty). No need to pay private school tuition - save your money for child's college - Fraser Public schools and Salk Elementary in particular will give your child a great overall education that will prepare your child for college or the work force.
