I believe this school gives students the right to continue thier education.Although most were suspended from thier past schools or some of the female student have a child or are pregnant.This school offers them an education that is more flexible than regular public or charter high schools.I myself am 15 and preganat with my first child, I attended Carman Ainsworth High-School for the first part of my pregnancy and still managed to maintain an 3.79 until i hit a tough patch.I was then told i was to un-enroll from Carman and i will be able to attend next year after my daught is born.Zimmerman is more flexible and understanding to good students with potential than other High-schools with less flexible hours.

This school has brought a lot of bad elements into the west Flint area. I pass this school Monday thru Friday on my way to and from work as I work in the area. I see groups of students get off the bus and head away from the school area in groups and wander the Corunna Road area all day until the busses come back to pick them up in the afternoon. Most of them disrespect the school grounds and neighboring homes and bussinesses. I have also watched them smoking pot in front of the school numerous times. I believe Zimmerman School should be closed at the end of the school year and disperse the students to a different school.

This school is a great second chance school where you can earn more credits and get a diploma faster than any other school in the area.
