terrykeck: This school focuses on the fine and techinical arts, allowing students to explore their own creative souls. The teachers and administrators are devoted to the students and strive to allow each student to continually improve their own personal best. The compassion and patience of the staff at this school allowed my son who was in a fragile state following the deaths of his grandfather, grandmother, and a beloved family pet, the latitude to complete his studies in a patient, caring environment. I think it's safe to say this school probably saved his life. Thank-you AAW!

Great group of kids who deserve more than what they get. A sad old building, cutting vital programs, drama, instrumental music and sign language. No honors programs and a staff that only has a few shinning stars. Administration or lack of it is not approachable or even helpful

high staff turn over, lacking any real emphasis placed on academics and much drug use.

Alumni: I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for AAW. I am extremely proud to have had the opportunity to attend this school.

My son has attended this amazing school for four years. I can honestly say it is the best experience he has ever had, both educationally and emotionally. The teachers and staff are incredible. The parents are great, too. And the students, unbelievable. They are so caring, intelligent and talented. I would pay full tuition to have my children attend AAW, but am blessed to not have to being a charter high school. My son is completely prepared for college thanks to everyone at AAW. I am so sad that this is my child's last year, and so is he.
