Garden City High School Reviews
I am ashamed to teach at this school. The kids are rude and most have a huge drug problem. The drama and fights are out of control. The maintenance is absolutely disgusting. Some of our students have had to call off school for having ring worm. I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER SENDING MY KIDS HERE. Most of the other teachers don't know how to do their jobs correctly. There are extreme cases of bullying and the hallways are always crowded. The city really needs to consider getting another high school as this one is way too crowded. Please rethink this over and over and over again before sending your kids to this torturous school!
As of September 1,2010 the district is no longer providing bus service for the High School. As a result some children will be forced to make a 6 mile round trip in the early morning dark hours, rain, snow, cold or shine. The school is filthy and cases of ring worm have been found.
It's an okay school, seems to be a drug problem which should be addressed. Teachers are okay, not great, just okay. Most don't really seem to try to push the students anymore or try to inspire them. Most seem to show up, teach a lesson, and then turn off. If you have a problem they usually just suggest you stay for tutoring after school. The school also has some hygiene issues as one could only guess to how often the school is actually cleaned... Besides all that I guess if you were forced to go this school I suppose if you are actually determined in getting somewhat of an Education your set, but if your not interested in school then your screwed because I doubt anyone here will spark an interest in you.
