Pine Creek Elementary School

pine creek is the werst school i have nuthing but problems this this school peps u dont know how meany timse this schol was almost shut down now  my kids are not geting the time that thay need to learn and am not happy this this school thay did not even call me to tell me that my son that has autism that he was not tacking the bus home so he was at school not know were mommy was not thar for hem never caled i found out after my girls got off the bus and thats after 4 pm so if u read this this just wach how thay treat your babys and life  tova

olivia: My daughter had never been exposed to much kids like she would at shcool. she started preschool there and she had such  great teachers. They were very friendly and it was very easy for my daughter to get used to.She loves school and they did a great good getting her ready for kindergarden.

My children have been students at Pine Creek over the last 8 years.  

As with any elementary school and kids of that age, nothing is ever perfect.  Kids tease, get into disagreements, etc - it's all a part of kids growing up and learning.  It's not how they behave because you can't always control that, it is how the teachers and the staff handle things when they don't.  This school does a wonderful job.

Our first years there were slow to start.  The school did not receive a passing grade under the cryptic "No Child Left Behind" requirements.  Apparently they didn't consider schools with great diversity that were taking in children who did not speak English as a first language.  I still see parents in the halls who do not speak or understand English clearly, something most of us will never have to deal with. Thankfully most of the staff are bilingual and always willing to help.

Several years ago, when Mr. Gingerich joined the staff as their principal, he helped to breath life into the school.  Despite the fact that he left after 2008, that enthusiasm lives on.

The staff is wonderful and we have had some fantastic teachers.  It amazes me to this day that they have assembled such a fantastic group of educators who care about the students and their families.  It makes me a bit sad to know that at the end of this year, our experience with PC will be over.  While it may be over, it will never be forgotten.
