About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Wavecrest Career Academy's test results to learn more about school performance.

Wavecrest Career Academy Reviews
i use to go to zelland public schools almost my whole life, had bad grades and always fell behind, when i switched over to wavecrest it seemed like it was a better atmousphere, and all around easier weather it is getting along with students, techers, and anything i became a better student able to understand my subjects of learning more. now i am a junior and on my way to graduating and success all thanks to wavecrest
My son has gone there for 3 years - Soph - Senior. He was not doing well in the high school that everyone in town went to -- he fell thru the cracks there. But at Wavecrest the teachers took their time and worked with him, giving him the attention he needed and as a result, he has been quite successful there! I thank God for Wavecrest, because if it wasn't around for my son, I don't know what we would have done. The principal, Tony Peterson, is a great guy and care about the students. He may seem like a j-a to the kids, but he's just doing his job and not letting the kids run the place. I think he, as well as all the teachers, give 110% to their job. They have to put up w/ alot of kids who are difficult too (in more ways than one) -- and it's not an easy job for them. I'd highly recommend Wavecrest to any kid struggling in the traditional high school setting!
