What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.

I have 11 year old grandaugther who is in her 2nd year at Merrit. She is doing Amazing...the teachers, the staff have been a big help. She was supposedly flunking in the public school system..basicly because it was more like a paper mill of homework with no explanation..At Merritt she gets the support and is learning again & loving it!

As a parent, I have found the teachers at Merritt Academy to be unprofessional. They are prone to favoritism, and spend the majority of their time knit-picking rather than teaching.

Merritt Academy
I have several grandchildren in Merritt and 1 just graduated. I find the education at this school is so much better than the public school system. The school is small, teachers know ALL students by name and students know all the teachers.
