Edgewood Public Montessori Elementary School
It's a great school with great parent-teacher involvement. There's always something inspiring for the children going on in the school like regular visits by great book authors, football players who come & share their experiences in life & tell their success stories. All the children are given opportunities to perform publicly in school shows which wards off their stage fears. And the teachers here are very good in their jobs & excellent in accessing their students.

What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).
