Abbott Middle School
I love Abbott, especially the teachers. Some teach us to ask questions when we don't understand. I love AVID(Advancement Via Individual Determination) which helps me stay organized and gets me thinking about college, we visit at least one college every year. I am an all A student and is on the honor roll. I am also a W.E.B. leader. W.E.B. stands for: Where Everybody Belongs. We mentor the 6th graders and help them through there 1st year of middle school, so everyone has the opportunity to do their best in school, some take the opportunity, other don't. That's life. I absolutely love Abbott. I am currently in the 8th grade and I am so ready for high school. Thank to my beloved school, Abbott.

What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).
