As the parent of a freshman at HFII I could not be happier with the school.  The teachers have seemed to be quite involved.  Parent involvement is what you make it, there are tons of parents at school events, at open house, at curriculum night, at music and theater events.  I've been very happy.  It's sad that the parent above had a BAD experience.  We enjoy the new principal and he is very concerned and involved with the students.

99% of the teachers at Ford play favorites and most dont make a secret of it. The teachers give up on the students way to easily, and some of the staff is just plain out rude. As a parent, a hall monitor had the nerve to yell at me when I was next to my child (in front of the school none the less), along with an AMBULANCE crew, when my child was taken to the hospital for medical reasons. She yelled at me for being on school grounds with out reason.... I had very good reason if you ask me.

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
