Elms Road Elementary School

Sharon: My daughter attended K-1st grades in Flushing schools and is attending her second year at Elms. My son is in 1st grade and also attended K at Elms. Huge difference in what my daughter had learned in Flushing compared to Elms. My son knows so much more than my daughter did! The education is great and I've not had a problem with any of the teachers. Great school!
I've only come across one problem, my daughter was put in a split class (2nd & 3rd grade students) and her being in 3rd grade is making it difficult for her. There are 15 2nd graders and only 8-9 3rd graders. I'm trying to get her out of the class but it's been difficult. The principal seems to think he can solve the little problems she has but not the BIG one. She doesn't like being segregated from the rest of the 3rd graders. Anyway, I would avoid the split classes if your child gets put in one. Good luck!
