This school and school district is worse than Detroit, I have never seen such an incompetent , disrespectful bunch of clowns in my life, there are a few good teachers, BUT.....from the suoerintendents office all the way down, I have 3 kids here, from 1st thru 12th grade, Ive seen it all, horrible sports, coaches, lack of supervision in all areas of education. The people in charge bully you and threaten to call the police on you if you complain about their staff or services. The most ridiculous clown set up in Michigan, they make Kwame and his thugs look like angels.

I'm very dissatisfied and disturbed by this school. Our children at this school are receiving an education that is far below what is required for them to go on to college and to succeed in the future. I'm seeking out other schools for my child to attend, because I don't have the confidence that Truman is going to restructure their approach for educating our children. I'm fed up with the made up rules on any given day by the staff, (which only negatively affects the kids); the lack of communication from the teachers, and the lack of due diligence on behalf of teachers with not updating assignments in a timely fashion. If it's suppose to be parent/teacher communication, how can that be effectively accomplished if teachers are not doing their part?  For example, my husband and I set up a day to have a conference with my child's teachers and not one teacher bothered to show up. Lastly, I just feel some of the teachers and staff just don't care and are only there for a paycheck. I can only hope that the school gets better for the sake of our kids and the students to come.

Best wishes and success to all students

RICADRO D.  AYALA: I think  J F K was/is a great school i just wish  i would have took advantage of my learning abilities which i am now aware that i'm capable of achiving. I was never really into the school thing i was into sports and did some work here and there i never really thought of me as having much of a future however now i see what the real world is like and have come to change and apprciate and im now trying to strive for a brighter future for myself. I just wanted to say thank you all for allowing me to attened your educational institution and i also wish your school district, staff and students success and good fortune.  I will also be calling the school to ask for my transcript so that i may better my education and further my future thanks again happy holidays.

Forgione: I think the parent teacher contact is very poor.  When I go online to check assignments or test scores its never updated.  I find out two weeks later what assignements are missing.  Why can't we (parents) find out what the assignments are when they are assigned..... not 2 weeks later when they might be missing.  Homework is very rare..... even though my student does above average work and grades....  there is little homework compared to kids in the same grade in Wyandotte or Grosse Ile.  Why is that?
