About the MEAP
What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).

This school was good but they are allowing any kid to enter. The teachers are young and are easily walked over. I like the scernery of the scholl but it lacks discipline.

Hi t.e.a is challenging but the teacher want you to get a good education and so does the principal. That one of the reasons T.E.A is challenging.But just because it is challenging doesn't meen you have to give up.

My son has attended Taylor Exemplar Academy for the past 3 years and I would highly recommend this school. The curriculum is great, the school is diverse, and the parental involvement and participation makes a huge difference. The school focuses on reading and high moral standards. The only thing I don't like about it is that sports participation begins in the 5th grade. I would have liked for my son to begin participating and learning the fundamentals at a younger age.
