Westwoods Elementary School

Westwoods has a wonderful learning atmosphere.  My child is in the Kindergarten/First Grade looping program and Mrs. McMellen is GREAT.  She was recommended to us and it was the best decision we made to have her as our child's first teacher.  We would recommend Westwoods to any and everyone.

Heather Stetson-Leman: Westwoods is located in Northern Michigan within the TCAPS school district.  My kids are in 3rd and 1st grade and we have come to love this school.  Our children started in the preschool room and have loved going to Westwoods.  They offer a daycare option starting at 2 1/2 years old.  I was paying as much money to send my kids to someone's home only to find out that all they did was watch television.  I love the atmosphere of helping and parental involvement at Westwoods.  It is not easy to take time off of work to go and help in the classroom but we know this helps to promote self confidence in our kids.  The teachers give uodates before things turn into issues.  The builing is always clean and very presentable.  Westwoods is always trying to offer after school activities to keep kids interested and motivated.
