About the MEAP
What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).

Cynthia: This school is a dump. I live right near it. It is a disgrace cosmetically to the neighborhood. Why doesn't someone clean it up and fix it? You would think that the city of Warren would have more to say about the condition of this school!!

Ms.Lynnescia Isiah: We just moved to Michigan about a month and half ago and out of the couple of schools I visited ,this one stood out the most. The staff are very friendly and take time to make sure there school is safe . My child attend this school in the first grade an she loves it even though i have to travel ten miles or so. Love the school ,staff keep up the good work.
