I think that it is terrible that my tax dollars go to pay teachers aides that do crafts (makes bows) and are to busy on facebook to help my child that could use a little encouragement instead of I don't get paid to help yoou with problem.

claresse ross: This is a awesome school I have two sons that went their and my daughter is currently a student at franklin middle school, what makes this school so awesome is the principal she's wonderful she really cares about the children and she's on here job, she's very involved, for this to be a public school it's very good.

What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).
