What is it?

The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.

How is it Scored?

Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).

Twin Beach Elementary School

I love Twin Beach! The Principal, teachers, and staff are AMAZING! I love hearing my children be excited about going to school! My son and twin daughters moved into the district half way through the year, last year, and the teachers and staff made them feel like they knew them forever! I love that they keep the parents in the education loop and make sure we are on the same page as our children; its like getting reeducated all over again! haha. The kids even complained when it was summer break!
