Oneka Elementary School Reviews
I am a fan of Oneka Elementary and I think that the staff members are terrific and genuinely care about the students. They all have been very helpful to me with my 3 children that attend school there. The secretary, nurse, nurse's assistant, librarian, teachers, the principal and the list could o on and on.
I think that the entire staff at Oneka Elementary goes above and beyond to help their students. I received custody of 3 granddaughters in January 2011, and the secretary was so helpful when I called to inquire how to register them. From that moment on I have had other staff members, as well as teachers help me with anything that I asked information on and even things I did not ask about because I honestly did not know those types of services were available. All 3 girls are far behind in their reading and math skills, they have suggested they attend some before and after school programs, as well as summer school. One of my girls that was having a more difficult time adjusting was given even other special care such as having lunch with a staff member once a month. Out of space but there is lots more.
This school does not deal with the big issues, such as bullying. I have seen and heard from many parents and students that have been bullied and had the principal tell them"deal with it" I myself as a parent am very dissapointed in the way this school handles issues and making sure the children are safe.
