Basswood Elementary School Reviews
Both of my children are enrolled at Basswood and have had a great experience. The school regularly holds events to keep the children interested and feel like they are part of a community.
The best part is the teachers. 90% of the teachers are great!! They really care and make sure that your child is succeeding.
The school lunch program is okay - better than most. Good quality fruits, veggies, and whole grains are offered. It's up to your child to select and EAT them.
The staff is prompt and friendly. The expectations are in line with grade levels.
My biggest complaint in the past was security. In the past, you could just walk in and all over the school. Now they have a secure front entrance, all the back doors are locked. And they run lock down drills.
It's all necessary these days. Most of the students come from well adjusted 2-parent homes, and a lot of parents are involved. This is a good school and one you should feel good about sending your kids to.
Remember - you get out what you put in!
