Friends School Of Minnesota Reviews
It's a wonderful place
We had 2 kids who went to FSM for Kindergarten through 8th grade. They got a fantastic education, in a strong community of respect and creativity. There was attention to the whole kid, with empowering progressive education. We could not have been happier. They learned how to learn, were encouraged to think for themselves, and to care about their classmates, community and the world around them. They are doing very well in college and high school now. Great place.
Terrific school! We have had one child graduate and one still at this school. Friends School does a wonderful job of creating community for the students and the families. The academics are solid and the life skills are stellar.
I think FSMN is a beacon of hope in this stressful world. It is not only a place to be safe, but for academic strength and developing the art of learning. I taught there for 15 years. I have moved on to work in other schools, and none have matched up--for the children, families and staff that are happy to work there.
Friends School of Minnesota is an excellent K-8 school of 162 students in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. It is a progressive education school grounded in the Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community and equality. Over twenty years old, FSM is known for its conflict resolution program, its commitment to environmental education and the warm, welcoming community. Graduates are well-prepared for and attend public and independent high schools all over the Twin Cities.
