Academically, St. Agnes is just fine. However, community, school spirit and Christian values that the school has a reputation for are inexistent. All the teachers are catholic, which raises the question as to whether they were hired by their qualifications or their religious beliefs. I've had teachers who are protestant, and it's not as if they cannot conform to teaching in a catholic school. Often times, they bring Christian values into the classroom better than the catholic teachers I've had. Second, students are highly encouraged to attend mass on first Fridays, but are not given an opportunity to, and school masses are cancelled if the school choir is not ready, and students in band are not allowed to offer their musical talent to Christ through the mass. The administration commonly makes promises, but these are never kept. If I were a parent, I wouldn't send my child to St. Agnes.
