The decision to send our children to St. John's was not an easy one. One reason is that we live out of district and have to drive everyday. But our experience at this school has far exceeded our expectations. Both of our children have tested well above their grade levels. But even more important, they are getting a spiritual education which has proven to be invaluable.

St. John's Catholic Elementary school has provided a wonderfully faith filled education with a curriculum built on the foundation of respect and responsibility in God's love. The staff provides a warm and nurturing environment while continuing to place emphasis on their academic excellence. As a new school parents 12 years ago we struggled with what is best for our own children, and now having three children going through the process we know we could not have made a better choice. The Savage/Burnsville area offers many varied choices in education, but St. John the Baptist elementary is a solid, respectful community, founded in the Catholic faith, dedicated to working for the very best for your child!

St. John's is an excellent Catholic school. My husband and I grew up attending parochial schools from K-8 and had always hoped that we could send our children through private school as well. We toured several schools in the south metro in preparation for sending our daughter to Kindergarten--everything from public to charter and other local parochial schools. Nothing else quite compared to St. John's. One of the things that we were so impressed by immediately was that the school has such strong history and deep roots in this community. We have always heard positive remarks. Now, as we approach the home stretch of the school year, we could not be happier. Our daughter genuinely loves to go to school every morning and we are part of a wonderful new community! We know we made the right choice for our family. The high standards and faith-filled education is something that we are proud to be able to offer our daughter.

St. John's is a wonderful Catholic school and my kids wouldn't want to be anywhere else. My oldest is in middle school there now and the curriculum is vigorous and challenging and I know she will be ready for high school. From Steppingstones Preschool all the way up to eighth grade the teachers have been outstanding.

Great school, great teachers, great environment. My kids love St. John's because they make learning fun and exciting. I love St. John's because they have small class sizes, great achievement test scores, wonderful teachers and an atmosphere that emphasizes respect and self-discipline. They give my children a religious upbringing that cannot be duplicated at a once a week religion class.

Open QuoteI currently have two children enrolled at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Savage. We have been exceptionally happy with both the elementary school and their preschool program, Steppingstones. The teachers are inviting and willing to work with parents in the partnership of the education process and the other families are very helpful and make you feel welcome. The solid foundation and spiritual education that my children get is something that I would not find in other south metro schools.Close Quote
