Hope Community Academy
Julie Blake: I have been a teacher at Hope Community Academy for 10 years. Our school is a fantastic place where children of all academic and language abilities can be successful. We have curriculum that offers enrichment for those students who are above grade level. For struggling students, we have unique safety nets in place such as Response to Intervention (RTI). English language learners are supported through a framework called SIOP in which all classroom teachers have been highly trained. This framework supports students' language development within the regular classroom setting. We have a strong technology focus which includes interactive white boards in the classrooms and technology classes for all students. Our teachers are extremely talented and dedicated to the success of all students! Above all, the students at Hope are among the friendliest, hardworking groups of children I've seen at any school.

Students score at one of four levels: does not meet standards, partially meets standards, meets standards ,and exceeds standards. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed standards. In order to graduate from high school, students must pass the grade 10 reading and grade 11 math MCA-II exams.
