About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Urban Academy Charter School's test results to learn more about school performance.

Urban Academy Charter School Reviews
I have had three of my children go through the school. My youngest is still attending and has several years before she graduates from Urban. If you want a great school that really cares about your child(ren), it is Urban Academy. Students are held accountable for their actions and learning. The teachers and administrators are the best! They truly understand the love, care, and respect that is needed to help students succeed in life. The school has history and that says a lot about who they are in my community. Way to go!
Three great kids stopped by my house yesterday after school to sell cookie dough for their school fund raiser.
They were so ready to sell sell sell. I was happy to buy something from each of them. I was so proud of them and they were not even my kids.
