Harrison Central High School Reviews
You receive what you put into it
I attended Harrison Central for four years (2009-2012). I was a part of the final class of the ninth grade school and one of the first classes that was split between West Harrison and Harrison Central.
HCHS taught me some of my most valuable life lessons that I still use today. Like anything else in life, how much you receive depends on how much work you are willing to put in. I was extremely involved throughout high school in many different activities ranging from the arts to athletics to campus organizations. Every organization sponsor and athletic coach put their all into their activity and truly cared about the well-being and success of the students.
If you are resistant to protocols like Common Core and the implementations that the administration try to begin, you will not succeed at Harrison Central. If you demand, rather than ask, for your education, you will not succeed at Harrison Central. If you are selfish, self-absorbed, or childish, you will not succeed at Harrison Central. If you look to be spoon-fed, you will not succeed at Harrison Central.
Harrison Central taught me above all to trust in myself, my abilities, and to ask for help among those who are there to teach you. I am faithful to my high school alma mater just like I will be faithful to my university alma mater.
not worth sending you kids to
If your child has any issues learning then don't send them here. The counselors promise to get you the material so you can help the teachers teach you child only to dodge your every call and hide if you show up in person. ask a teacher what they are teaching and all you will get is "we get the lessons off the internet" This is a common core school and a mediocre one one at best.
