East Jones Elementary School
East Jones Elementary school is FABULOUS! It is such a blessing to have teachers that care so much and work so hard. I have a daughter that attends East Jones Elementary and the opportunities to excel and expand her learning are endless. I owe her foundation of education to all of the teachers and staff of East Jones Elementary. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you have done and continue to do for my child, as well all the other children attending. You are a blessing!

East Jones Elementary School
East Jones Elementary is an excellent school. I think there are many people who do not understand the way schools are determined to be "failing" or not. EJE is a "failing" school, as the previous parent called it, only because of a subgroup of children in special education who did not perform as well as the current ranking system says they should have. Testing students on a fifth or sixth grade level when they actually function at a first grade level is rediculous and causes the labels put on schools to not truly reflect the performance of the school as a whole. The students at EJE were given the opportunity to attend the school of their choice in Jones County with transportation provided. However, not one single student took advantage of that opportunity. I think that speaks volumes about the performance of students and faculty at EJE and the satisfaction of the parents with the education their children are receiving.
