Benton has become a S.T.E.M. school (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and has made some remarkable changes in the 2011-2012 school year. My son really love his teacher, Mr. Gerhart amd seems to be enjoying learning. This last month they had a bridge building contest which they will be testing for weight tolerance this week. The Christmas program this year was wonderful and the music teacher, Mr. Battle is terrific! Also, Mr. Hogg, the principal, is very nice and dedciated. I think Benton is a school that is trying very hard to improve their student's success in learning and I am happy my son is attending during this time.

I believe the principal and staff at Benton have improved the school over the last few years. The switch to being a STEM school has been smooth and has provided my children with new ways to learn.
The staff puts kids first and really wants to work WITH parents. They are receptive to constructive criticism and suggestions as well as questions.
