Building Blocks Child Care Center

My son attended this daycare for a year. In this amount of time, I noticed that the "cirriculum" was not being used, the children just played and did arts and crafts. There was no "teaching" involved. Also, when he was crawling- he would come home with his knees BLACK from the floors b/c they were so dirty. One day when I picked him up, I walked in with him walking around with a bug in his mouth. I know that kids will get dirty and possibly eat a bug or two :) but the final straw was when I was leaving one day and saw little boy standing next door at the elderly community all by himself. No one was looking for him or even knew he was gone. He had gotten out of the play area that is fenced in. I was told that the lock had broken the week before and the new lock was placed on the wrong gate. This little boy was younger than 2 years old. Sorry to be dramatic, but he could have been hit by a car or gotten kidnapped. After seeing this, my son never went back.
