Woodland Elementary School Reviews
I had the misfortune to work as a teaching assistant in the special ed room in 2005. The teacher was horrible and her assistant was her partner in crime. The children were treated like they were in juvenile hall. They never had anything prepared for the children to do. There were never and special educational projects. They just sat in their chairs and waited to go to special classes. I thought they were incredibly well behaved considering their treatment. I wanted to throw a tantrum after sitting in that room for an hour. It was appalling! I complained over and over to the principal and thank God there is a new teacher there now. I hope she is better than the last one. The other teachers at the school were very professional and caring. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and the concern for the children.
This experience traumatized me so I can't imagine what it did to the children!
Woodland Elementary has an awesome principle (Dr. Kurtz) and wonderful teachers! I would not choose any school for my children to attend while in elementary. The office staff has a warm welcoming spirit. Everyone shows they care about the children attending there. They have a spectacular christmas program every year. My kids love and really enjoys going to school. The field day is a super day for the kids. The summer program is outstanding. Thankyou to all staff that is apart of Woodland Elementary School.
