Wyland Elementary School

A.K.: Even though that the school's rating is better than some-I feel that it could be better! Unfortunately, it requires MORE parents to be involved and appearantly there aren't enough to GET/be involved w/ their kids. (single parent or not, bc I AM) there use to be more blue ribbon awards in district and needs to find a way to get back there!

My son has been attending Wyland Elementary for 3 years and since first grade, we have had nothing but problems! His first grade teacher should be banned from teaching, she has NO patience what so ever and def. has NO knowledge about ADHD. I have heard nothing nice regarding her. His second grade teacher was better, but again, needs alittle work. She has gone as far as stating, "sometimes I just want to strangle him!!", during a conversation I had with her! The principle is not any better!!  She chooses who should get respect and we are def. not on that list!! Sending my child to this school has been a huge mistake and I will never refer anyone to this school! Besides the two other comments I have read on here, this school gets talked about very poorly!! The gardes for this school are very low, and have been for some time! I think they need to rethink who they let teach there! I am proud to say, my son will be attending a new school next year!!

Sandra Littleton: My child has been attending Wyland Elementary for 3 years now and I will not move her to a new school. The teachers at Wyland are understanding and don't over react when a child shows bad behavior. They understand children are not perfect. I love Wyland Elementary. I feel they care greatly for the children and do a wonderful job. Thank you Wyland Elementary for taking such good care of my child and my youngest child will see you soon.
