Russell School Reviews

By a Parent on

I just want parents to be aware that just because a certain school has some type of reward doesn't mean that it doesn't have problems.  Have open communication with your children and talk with them about good behavior.  And let them know that if they have any problems with any kids, teacher, or dutie to let you know.  Let your children know that if they don't tell you, that you can't help them..We had a very difficult year at this school with our child because he wasn't open with us about what was going on.  Once our child opened up and told us the school was already investigating a problem at home.  Wich clearly wasn't the case.  It was some problem at school with another child who was recently taken out of their home due to abuse.  But the teacher informed us that our child was acting out for a few weeks at school.  Our child has had to start counseling sections due to severe bullying and the school has tried to turn it around on us or a close family member.  If you are a good/caring parent please inform your children about bullying and when it is important to tell an adult.  Our child believed the other child that threatened to kill him, his sister, parents, and all his friends and close relatives if he told anyone.  Our child believed he would bring a gun to school or a knife.  He also let this bully do unimaginable stuff to him in a bathroom at school because he felt so threatened.  It  makes you sick.   Now my child needs serious help.
