Washington Middle School Reviews
This school is strict with intrepretation of rules and discipline is a bit heavy for minor infractions - the unwritten motto is punish first, and don't be concerned with the details of what actually happened. Teachers are a bit flakey (but caring), administration is a bit aloof and seems defensive, the staff is indifferent and abrupt with most visitors and parents (probably because they are always busy and don't like interuptions), and custodians are friendly and accomodating. Everyone is very competent (from top to bottom) in their jobs, but politics is at work behind the school's operations. Students transferring from the more friendly k-5 atmosphere are in for an abrupt transition. It's difficult to argue with results, as this school routinely exceeds local, state, and national standards in all academic matters. Students are white by a huge mojority (95% or more) and primarily from middle class to upper middle class families.
