Fillmore Central Elementary School
First grade was a terrible experience. Instead of being recognized and encouraged for his ability to read/comprehend literature and do math at a 3rd or 4th-grade level, my son was made to feel inferior because he held his pencil "wrong." His writing was perfectly legible, but holding his pencil "wrong" was more important to his teacher. We are so glad to get him away from that negative place!
