B Mahlon Brown Junior High School Reviews
I think B. Mahlon Brown JR. High School is an average school. I am a 6th grader and have been there since the beginning of the school year. Most of the teachers are pretty cool. There is a lot of after school activities such as, band practice, student counsel meetings, girls and boys basket ball, and a lot of other interesting things. Boy, I wish my grades really showed how great the school and teachers are!!!!!
Very horrible school, the principal yells at children during lunch, teachers think the kids are so hopeless they don't want to do their jobs, and the kids parents don't even bother. How is it that the school has smart boards in most classrooms but scuffed up walls, leaks in the roof, and holes in the walls?
I have been going to brown for anout two months and it is really ghetto. The old school I used to go to was mannion and all I have to say that it is was better than brown and more challenging . Brown is very racist toward everybody it is a very cheep looking school and it is not very updated asmost other schhols. The teachers are very judgeing when you walk by them in the halls. The lockers are very small and stupid .well if I could go back to mannion I would in a heart beat because brown is not challenging and not a clean shool , hass lots of judging people and rude kids.
I have been involved with the students and staff for about two years. I stand behind the staff and the children that are involved in solving the problems that may have occurred. It is not only the staff that have to deal with these problems but the parents and students too. If parents would get involved as well there would be very little problems that would get out of control. Parents are very encouraged to get involved, to work with the staff and the students. Remember, Brown has a open door policy and at times the parents need to do their part!
i have been goin to brown jr high for about over a year now i wil say it is not the greatest school it is not the acedemics that are the problem it is the fighting and the racism that is a problem.
Over all worst school ever. Staff only cares about them selves. If there is a real problem with your student and another student good luck. the school never fixes the problem till its to late. Fights happen everyday its the most unorganized thing I have ever seen. Im a former student and Im pretty sure i only passed because i was white. the teachers here are scared of the students...For the sake of your stress levels and your childs well being ... dont send your child here.
it is amasing
I love this school, I love the staff, everybody is nice. Although I agree the school has race problems, it is still a great place, and has an awesome learning environment. Even though I am in 6 grade I know I already love my school!
I know many people do not like this school.... i went there all three years just last year being my last.... Brown has the nicest staff. And its a great friendly enviorment. Wouldnt of gone anywhere else for my life. GO BROWN BEARS.! WOOT WOOT.!
I hated this school all 3 years I went. If this is your option of school, choose private. There are fights all the time and the learning is under standards.
I've tried for 2 weeks to get a copy of my step-daughters report card. The 2 times I actually talked to someone, she said she would e-mail it. I tried to call again today and there's no answer and the main mailbox is full. Ridiculous!
This school os amazing and has great reviews it's in a great location
This is our first year with a child at Brown Jr High. In elementary school (in the same school district) was labeled as "a problem" child, but it wasnt that he is a bad kid, he was just bored. Now that he is attending Brown, we havent had one problem or complaint with his behavior or attitude. I am not saying that he is perfect by any means, but I have been pleased with the attention of the teachers, when you can get in touch with them, with the way they have dealt with my son. I also forgot to mention that my son is Bi-polar, and also has Aspergers syndrom. And most of his teachers know this and are very willing to give the time to teach him in a different way if needed. My son doesnt receive any special treatment, and is not in any special classes. My son has been happier this year then any year thus far, since kindergarten. The only problem I would say that I have is that Brown doesnt promote parent help or keeping parents involved or nitified well enough. Other then that, my experience at B. Mahlon Brown Jr. High has been a good one, so far!
I have two children that attend Brown, and it is the most unruly, screwed up organization i have ever had to deal with in my life. They are just there for paychecks, not to help your kids learn.
Overall this school needs a lot of improvement on its behavior and curriculum. If your child however has special needs this is a great place for them. Kids with special needs develop fast. That is what I have to say on this school.
