B Mahlon Brown Junior High School
1I have been going to brown for anout two months and it is really ghetto. The old school I used to go to was mannion and all I have to say that it is was better than brown and more challenging . Brown is very racist toward everybody it is a very cheep looking school and it is not very updated asmost other schhols. The teachers are very judgeing when you walk by them in the halls. The lockers are very small and stupid .well if I could go back to mannion I would in a heart beat because brown is not challenging and not a clean shool , hass lots of judging people and rude kids.

B Mahlon Brown Junior High Schoolrebecca tillotson: I have been involved with the students and staff for about two years. I stand behind the staff and the children that are involved in sloving the problems that may have occured. It is not only the staff that have to deal with these problems but the parents and students too. If parents would get involved as well there would be very little problems that would get out of control. PARENTS are very incouraged to get involed to work with the staff and the students. REMEMBER brown has a open door policy and at times the parents need to do their part!!!!!!

B Mahlon Brown Junior High SchoolI love this school, I love the staff, everybody is nice. Although I agree the school has race problems, it is still a great place, and has an awesome learning environment. Even though I am in 6 grade I know I already love my school!

B Mahlon Brown Junior High SchoolI've tried for 2 weeks to get a copy of my step-daughters report card. The 2 times I actually talked to someone, she said she would e-mail it. I tried to call again today and there's no answer and the main mailbox is full. Ridiculous!

4Alisha Davis: This is our first year with a child at Brown Jr High. In elementary school (in the same school district) was labeled as "a problem" child, but it wasnt that he is a bad kid, he was just bored. Now that he is attending Brown, we havent had one problem or complaint with his behavior or attitude. I am not saying that he is perfect by any means, but I have been pleased with the attention of the teachers, when you can get in touch with them, with the way they have dealt with my son. I also forgot to mention that my son is Bi-polar, and also has Aspergers syndrom. And most of his teachers know this and are very willing to give the time to teach him in a different way if needed. My son doesnt receive any special treatment, and is not in any special classes. My son has been happier this year then any year thus far, since kindergarten. The only problem I would say that I have is that Brown doesnt promote parent help or keeping parents involved or nitified well enough. Other then that, my experience at B. Mahlon Brown Jr. High has been a good one, so far!

1I have two children that attend Brown, and it is the most unruly, screwed up organization i have ever had to deal with in my life. They are just there for paychecks, not to help your kids learn.

1Overall this school needs a lot of improvement on its behavior and curriculum. If your child however has special needs this is a great place for them. Kids with special needs develop fast. That is what I have to say on this school.
