The staff of Mannion is ridiculously unprofessional. They have no regard whatsoever for students who are sick or for parents that do everything they can to prevent a sick child from falling behind. You can provide them with all the doctor's documents in the world and they'll still harass families by repeatedly sending truant officers to your home (AFTER you've contacted the school by phone and in person) and phoning CPS with false allegations of child abuse and neglect. When it comes to fights between students, the staff just looks the other way instead of breaking it up! The school principal doesn't even return phone calls.

This school is alright, I feel like some of the other teachers don't care about me or other students as much as they should. And our school is to strict on dress-code. I feel like the girls can't wear anything. We can't even wear yoga pants if they are tight at the bottam, they are counted as " leggings ".

I like this school very much, but the drug-use is very high.
Teachers need to pay more attention to stop the abuse of drugs.
The dress-code is very strict, but other than that I do recemmend your child(reen) to come here.

I am a student at Mannion Middle School. Personally, I think that this school is amazing. I have great education, the teachers give me the attention that I need when i need help, and when they do help they don't just answer. They help you understand. Yes, dress code is strict but that's for all CCSD schools. It's not like they let us run around willy nilly.
This school is amazing and I recommend your child(ren) to come here.

Lisa: This is a great school, my child has never been controlled or disciplined in any way.......great academics, great teachers, and I highly recommend this school for anyone! To the anonymous parent; get a handle on your kid so that the school doesn't have to attempt to teach, what I can only assume is your otherwise obnoxious child the self discipline that you should have taught then when they were..oh I don't know, TWO!

This school is terrible, the administrators are misguided and obsessed with control. They have almost zero desire to actually teach the students. They are far more concerned with dress codes, gum chewing and censorship.
