About This School
Apple 1-to-1 Program
A 1 to 1 learning program is defined as an environment where students and teachers have 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week access to a notebook computer as well as digital content, educational software, and digital authoring tools.
In 2007, LMCA was one of first schools to implement a 1-to-1 laptop program at the high school level in Nevada. In 2008, we added the program to middle school. We believe that technology, as a tool, has the ability to drastically change teaching and learning, and when coupled with student laptops (available 24/7), our students are empowered for their future.
Currently we have: 230 student laptops 29 Mobile laptops 86 Staff Laptops 15 Loaner Machines = 360 Laptops in use at LMCA
Lake Mead Christian Academy exists to serve Jesus Christ through education and community building.
Our vision is to glorify God as we join Him in developing Christ-centered individuals with godly character. We believe that God will create and establish a Christian school district through Lake Mead Christian Academy. By faith and prayer we will prepare ourselves to accept His blessing and this responsibility.

Lake Mead Christian Academy Reviews
LMCA is a hidden gem in the Henderson Valley. There are so many wonderful things about the school that make it unique. I read a few of the negative posts on this site and the facts are not correct. One of the things our family loves most about LMCA is that it accepts kids that are not Christians. They are there to minister to ALL kids and of ALL ages. Is it a perfect school? No, but it is an amazing school!!! The Alumni go off to college and after graduation they return to teach and serve in the ministry they love. I suggest you go to LMCA for a tour and make your own opinion about the school. See it in action, meet the wonderful staff, teachers and even observe the students. This school is not about the money, yes there are cost and expenses that every private school has but the staff is there to serve God. My kids never stepped foot in public school, I have seen parents who made the decision to let there kids go to public school but I have also seen them come back per their child's request. It is far from a "typical school", both of my kids are in college and doing extremely well and were very prepared for college. They also prepared them to defend their faith in the world.
Are you looking for a school that is different. One that loves your kids, a safe environment, a staff that is devoted to their job, a school that trains a student how to serve others? This school is amazing!!!
Students get an opportunity to go on different mission trips each year and serve in different places around the world. They learn how to defend their faith and understand how to apply God's word while receiving an excellent education. Offering a great sports program for High school, Middle School and Elementary. The best part about LMCA is their 1 to 1 Apple laptop program. (Each student 6th-12th grade is issued a laptop for the school year). They are preparing students for the future with a cutting edge program. Last year they added iPads to the Early Education program too.
Go and take a tour and see what LMCA has to offer your child. See the difference for yourself.
My (almost 3 year old) grandson goes to the Early Education program at LMCA and we love it! When it was time for our little one to go to daycare/preschool, it was a big decision for us and a hard thing to do. He adjusted so well and is loved and cared for in such a wonderful way! We love his teachers and have had such great experiences with all of the staff in the Early Education area. On top of being cared for well, he has learned so much! His teachers (Mrs Cockrell and Mrs Shell) teach the children so many practical things...he amazes us all the time! We couldn't be happier with our experiences so far at Lake Mead Christian Academy and we look forward to the years ahead!
I attended this school for a short period of time, and these were my experiences. After choosing which students they like and which they do not, they treat them accordingly. After I was chosen as one of the "disliked" students I was picked on and harassed by the administration until I was forced to leave. Part of this was creating rules so things I did on a daily basis were now against the rules and now I could be disciplined for them. I was also told "You are a terrible person, and you and your friends are the worst group of people I have ever met in my entire life". I am sure you do not want your students to be treated in such a way.
Strong school overall, very baptist in their religious teachings. Teachers care very much for the students and pour a lot into them. Some of their curriculum is weak but besides that, the prices are good and students aren't miserable :)
I am a parent of two high school students. We love the school. Lake Mead has such a loving close net community of believers. We can't say enough about the school. Our family recommends it!!!
This school is advanced in all area's of academics also in extra circular activity. The teacher care about all their students and are all very kind and compassionate people who care.
