100 Academy of Excellence Reviews
100 Academy of Excellence
I find so much richness in having my teen involved in college tours, community service, speaking engagements, Emerging Youth Leader and lot's more as a student of 100 Academy of Excellence. I have said this before, often times we leave it up to Teachers to be all things to our children without realizing this places our Teachers outside of their role.
What happened to parent involvement? Has it become obsolete? I understand we have to work, I promise I get it. Even as a working parent, I do not drop my children off, I walk them in. You won't find my children jumping to the latest beat on the radio in the morning but you will find them listening to something encouraging or reading. As such, I don't just tell my children to read a book, I am an avid reader. I do not send my children to school to get an education, I am their first teacher and together the Teacher and I make sure my children are striving for excellence at all times! See where I'm going.... It all leads back to me!
SAVE THE KIDS
I am a parent of a 1st grader and this school has been a bad influence on my baby they don't pay attention to the kids at recess and soon as a problem a cure the kids get blame but WERE ARE THE TEACHERS! and y they not watching our kids, most of these teacher don't want to be there and it shows. We will NOT be returning next year THIS SCHOOL IS NOT WORTHY GAS.
I honestly think that 100 Academy of Excellence is a great school. My son is getting A's and B's.
What a student friendly campus! Just visit the campus any time because the school has an open door policy!
This is an excellent school now that there is a new principal and wonderful new teachers. The parent support us unsurpassed and the students are now focused on getting a great education. You should visit the school anytime to see what is happening!
I visited the school, met with the Principal and Assistant Principal as well as some of the staff. A great group of Professionals dedicated to educating our children. I continue to be impressed with the quality of staff, teachers and most importantly the positiveness of the children.
Have you visited the school lately? I really don't know what happened in the past, however it is now a school where students are happy, learning according to the SNevada State standards, student behavior is exemplary, teachers are qualified and parents are involved on a daily bases.
The community members and parents/guardians are always welcome at the school.
Just a heads up. There is a new principal at this school that has been brought in because they recognized the problems at hand. Mrs. Peggy Selma has brought so much experience and real change to the school this year. Some new teachers and a new attitude have arrived at this school and although the 3 reviews here may have been accurate in the past, I urge you to take another look here in 2010.
...It would be nice if people could recognize the good things happening at Imagine 100 Academy. I think the real problem with this school is that they allowed us parents to feel too comfortable, letting us on campus as they please, trying to keep us as involved as possible in our child's education. As soon as they don't agree with something or don't get what they want, the good things happening on campus are now irrelevant. and they are running to the news spreading negativity. Its not fair to the teachers that serve our kids and are truly teaching them and it is not fair that this school has never been given a real fair chance. Imagine 100 Academy is well on its way to achieving its initial mission and vision and will continue to strive to give the best education possible. Parents, if you feel this school is for you by all means don't be discouraged by nay sayers. Come see for yourself.
I was planning on sending my child this year. I wanted to take advantage of the uniform policy. But I am not willing to sacrafice her learning to save some pennies. I am a very involved parent and the disorganization, unprofessionalism has me worried. I compared their CCSD report with her previous school and was not impressed. They had alot of violence and weapon issues compared to her old school and no higher academic rating. After reading these reviews I know I am making the right choice. I think the name of the school is the best thing they have going.
I agree with Ms. Robinson. My son has gone there for three years and will not be going back. They are so unorganized, unprofessional and just a big mess! Someone needs to shut this school right down because it is truly horrible. My son's grades went from A,B honor role to C's. Please do not send your children here. They don't even have enough teachers. My sons class consisted of 3rd and 4th graders and was over populated.
This has to be one of the most unorganized educational insitutions in the country! It is run by a bunch of idiots who's only concern is making sure they have enough students to get money from the state.
I would never recommend this place to send your children. If you don't care about your children & their future by all means send them to this mess called school!! They are opening a new school in the northwest...somehow! Good luck you will not have my children to corrupt any longer!
