Del Sol High School Reviews

Wow from what i am hearing Del sol is totally going down hill after Anglecor left. They put down so many rules. Students have absolutely no freedom and you cannot even show your personal believes. Other than that del sol was great to me from 2007-2011

My children are in 11th and 10th grade at Del Sol and both being well-prepared for success in a global economy.  The selection of AP classes is not as rich as at other schools, but they have a relationship with Virtual HS and they can take it online during the school day.  At the school (live, not virtual) my son has AP Calculus, AP US History, AP Chemistry and AP Language and Composition - which (AP Lang and Comp) is taught by one of the best teachers I've ever known of.   Both scored well on the PSAT which is one indicator that they are being well-prepared for college.  The head track coach and football coach are both phenomenal.  Perhaps most valuable to their future is the extremely broad diversity of the student body.  The student leaders in Student Council and on the athletic teams are from very diverse backgrounds, both in terms of ethnicity and family economic levels, and the general student body tends to have much less rigid grouping or cliques than I have seen elsewhere, so the interactions my children have day-to-day are equipping them better than most schools with the interpersonal and leadership skills they are going to need as they enter our increasingly global economy.  Lastly, the principal is one of those that shows up at all the extracurricular activities and very obviously loves her job - last fall I saw her leading cheers at a football game when something went wrong with the cheer squad's uniforms - and yes the crowd was with her!

I went to Del Sol when it first opened. My class was the first to graduate who went there all four years. It was a very nice school. It was kept clean. I enjoyed my four years there. I am glad to call that my high school. All the teachers were great. They really tried to get us kids to succeed in life. The princible at the time was great. He treated all of us fairly. Go class of 2008!!!!

I went to Del Sol all four years of my High School carreer. It was great! :) The football team was awesome and everyone was so accepting and very friendly. The teachers also were well rounded and kind. They took the time to actually help you get better in what you're doing. Del Sol is just a great school. Period. :)
