Cheyenne High School Reviews
I am a 2005 graduate of this school. I only attended the last half of my senior year here and had attended the 3.5 yrs at Coronado HS. HUGE difference. I thought it was the school that was awful, but after I went to college for Social and Behavioral Science, it turns out that this school is just trying to teach to the majority demographic in the area. From 1990 to 2002, a majority of the students were either gang affiliated or military family students. Now that the nearby Air Force base no-longer provides housing within this school's zone, the student population is now of similar demographic to Durango, Bonanza, Las Vegas HS, and Mojave HS. If you are preparing your children for the real world, I suggest a different school. The teachers here aren't worth their weight in sand.
Do you accept a 14 year old BOY ? From Philippines and Already Graduated at the Grade Of 6 ? And Do he needs to take a Exam Or Age ?
The administrators are more concerned with teachers "giving" students good grades than students actually doing the work and earning their grades.
es buena la escuela para los estudiantes que no saben ingles
The school is alright. It is dirty, and I feel like the teachers aren't really teaching me correctly. But overall, not a bad school.
This school is a dirty, gang infested, pit-stop on the way to "And would you like fries with that?"
I changed schools before senior year and was amazed how little this school actually taught me. I transferred and basically knew nothing. I had to catch up and catch up fast because the teachers here would NOT teach me what i truly needed to know. i.e. I use to get all 'A's' in English. When I walked in to my senior English class, the teacher was horrified at my essay writing.
On a side note, As I attended this place, I had to deal with the Bloods and the Crypts on a daily basis. Usually pretty harmless, but say the wrong thing to the wrong person and you would be bloody in a matter of minutes.
Also worth mentioning, I don't think I ever went a week without someone getting into a fight...
I attended cheyenne for two years and its a great school!
When i was a freshman at cheyenne i thought i would absolutaly hate the school but as the year went on i grew to love it. Yeah the school, students, and staff all have their ups and downs but overall its a great school. The students there are real nice and the teachers are fun. I cant wait to go back!
