Theron L Swainston Middle School Reviews
(Current student as of the Spring of 2012, one month until the last day.)
This is my last year in Theron L. Swainston Middle School. I say from my experience in this school, it had its good and bad sides, but I would say for any parent that lets a student attend to keep in contact with your child.
The teachers in my first through third year were wonderful, especially a wonderful teacher named Ms. Prencipe who will go all out to make sure you will understand the lesson taught. Many teachers throughout my years were wonderful, if your child says one of -my- teachers are horrible or they don't teach, I will reply a complete and outright "no". It could be hard to believe, parents, but it is certainly your student who is the one acting up in class. (Especially any complaints for any World Geography teacher. )
The staff here are actually pretty nice. They support us on our goal to getting good grades. They will give you positives, ask if you are alright if you look in the slightest bit sad, and even come to each table at lunch and maybe say a little hello!
The deans in this school are also nice people. Though, a thing they can work on is not giving out the name of a student when punishing another. I still have a classmate on my tail annoying me about that.
The negatives about the staff should be none! They are always concerned. When a student isn't caring for education, it gets annoying at times and I understand that. If a child says "Well, she said ____", well, don't believe it from his mouth. The staff here are absolutely wonderful. They go all-out to maintain a safe environment.
Anything negative about this school would be the students. They will make your life a living nightmare if wanted. I still don't get the point of cursing in every other sentence you say or bad mouthing any student or staff at the school! Many, many cowards who have yet to open their eyes. Again, keep in contact with the school and your child, it's important. I am leaving this school to younger students, those who have given me a hard time at this school.
Thank you for opening my eyes early about how life will be like out into my high school years and reassuring me about it in this year only a few days ago. I think I will be ready for high school, now.
Thank you for the wonderful time here, staff. I would love to see you all again in my high school or in my college years!
The education is below average, the teachers are not very nice, in fact they don't have any encourament toward the kids, one teacher told my daughter she was a failure! When I ask for a teacher/parent conference the counselor told me, "what you want us to lie? if she is not doing well she is a failure! this are the people who are teaching a guiding our kids in this horrible school.
best school i ever went to
