Elm Street Middle School Reviews
My daughter is attending Elm St Middle School and it is far from ghetto now. I understand that at one point it was really bad but now from what I see, it is the better of all the middle schools. I coincidently live across the street from the school and have only heard of one fight and that was last year. I think there has been radically change as far as Elm is concerned. Moving from NY I can definitely appreciate this welcomed school environment.
I went to Elm Street when it was still a junior high (grade 7-9) and it was so ghetto. There's really no other word to describe the asbestos in the locker rooms, the unenforced rules, the toilet seats with cig burns and broken sinks, the little to no climate control, the falling apart infrastructure, and the daily fights. I was a goodie two shoes until I attended this school. There's so much drugging and drinking within the school walls during school hours even. None of my honors level classes challenged me, and the gangs are a whole different story. Over-all, unless you're training your child to be a hoodrat, send them to Pennichuck or Fairgrounds.
