Diciplinary actions are vacations versus a adverse action to get some of the student's attention. It would be wonderful if all schools would have a NO tolorance policy for skipping or repetiitve absences. Some kids think they are free to do as they please, consequences are of no consequence to many of the repeat offenders.
Nashua South has many great teachers, and many have high expectations but their hands are tied when kids just don't do their work. If students don't want to learn, then they need to be identified and given an academic schedule where it is more acadamic to work, majority of the hours is on the job digging holes, shovel snow, washing dishes...so the desire to get back to school returns.
