Chrismont Montessori Academy Reviews

By , a Parent on

Our daughter will enter the first grade this year at Chrismont Montessori Academy, and my wife and I are thrilled! The teachers and staff, the children and families, every thing about this school is simply fantastic.

Chrismont prescribes to the Montessori method, where children learn in creative and novel ways, and at their own pace through facilitated education, rather than having curriculum fed to them in 20 minute silos as in the traditional American classroom. In this school, children are exposed to academics, physical fitness, language, music, and theater all in equal measure. And just as important, Chrismont fosters a culture of respect and kindness in everything they do; helping to provide each child with a sense of self worth and the tools for amicable conflict resolution. I am sad to say, you simply do not see this in most pubic (and even many private) schools.

Each morning, my daughter is met at the door by her teacher, who leans down, looks her in the eye, and shakes her hand as she says good morning. This may seem like a small thing, until one day, when you start to notice your five-year-old daughter greeting your friends this way as they look at you in amazement.

Priceless...
