ALOT OF TAXES, POLITICAL GAMES/GAINS, OUR CHILDREN RECEIVE LESS
This town is terrible when it comes to the school system. Sadly our neighboring town has Blue Ribbon grammar schools and we are told Bogota has always been very low & struggling academically.
The teachers do what they want (bare minimum) [Edited for content by Education.com]. They complain of no parent participation and the reality is the school caters to the same class moms year after year with no opportunity of any other parent standing a chance for involvement.
If your child requires extra assistance forget it the Special Ed teachers aren't qualified and the social worker will lie to you and say they are.
Please reconsider if you are looking for a better school.
Moving soon just so my kids can get an education.
I think that this school is O.K. They could do a little bit better though in providing extracurricular activities along with a more structered gifted and talented program. The amount of homework received per night is balanced and they have many all school assemblies.
