I am very impressed with the teacher and staff commitment to the students. During open school night many teachers said that they have an open door policy where students can come in during lunch for help with an issue. I have a child who has special vision needs and the communication between the nurse and teacher has helped my child with seating. Emails are replied and any issues are dealt with speed and discretion. I worried when my child entered middle school but due to constant communication it has been good so far.

Ilene R.: My oldest child just began his Carusi career last month. I was initially a little fearful that the transition would be difficult, but it has been a truly fantastic experience for him so far. The principal, Kirk Rickansrud, obviously cares deeply about the students, and he's a down-to-earth, approachable guy — a welcome quality in an administrator. I especially love the way the school is split into different grade-level "houses." It's such a good way of breaking a large school down into smaller parts, and giving each student the feeling of belonging to a team. I went to the school when I was a child (when John Carusi was the principal). It was a good school then, but I can't believe how much it's improved in the intervening years. Go Mustangs!
