Plaza Child Care Reviews
Safe, Clean, Friendly while Meeting Academic and Social needs
After looking extensively for a preschool/daycare facility for my daughter when she was 9 months old, Plaza came highly recommended. Colleagues suggested I check out Plaza, they expressed how pleased they were - some whose children currently attended, others whose children attended 10+ years ago. I have since learned that many of the teachers from 10+ years ago are still there.
The women who work there love the kids, and you can feel that from the moment you walk through the doors. Plaza quickly became a second family, and all the teachers knew my daughter and I soon knew most of the teachers (many who were not even hers). When an unforeseen family situation forced me to call upon them early on and request days that my daughter was not scheduled to attend, they were empathetic to the situation and were able to step up and help me in a pinch on numerous occasions. They not only helped me in a very sensitive and difficult time in our lives but they cared for and supported my daughter and for that I am forever grateful.
There is definitely a difference between many of the childcare/preschool facilities in the area. This is a highly structured program with a predictable routine, a solid curriculum of academics while fostering social/emotional needs. They are attentive to student strengths and weaknesses and have developed programs that challenge students and treat each student individually. There is discipline, follow through, and communication between teachers and parents. The director is very present in the classrooms and knows each student's strengths and weaknesses. She has an open line of communication with parents and honestly expresses her concerns when they arise.
My daughter loves going to school and often will play "school" at home, mimicking her teachers' words and lessons. "This is letter T, repeat after me ... T ... what words start with letter T? ... Great job you're so smart!"
At 3 she knows her colors, shapes, letters, numbers, some letter sounds, she socializes appropriately with her peers, and loves to interact with adults.
This facility is also clean, same, and allergy friendly. I would highly recommend taking a look here if you are in the area and looking for a place that will keep your mind at ease.
Upon touring many child care facilities to make my choice for my son I with unhappy results and looking online for positive reviews, I came across "Plaza". It is a top family operated facility with many positive reviews and competitive pricing. When I called, the owner, Lori, answered the phone. She is understanding, incredibly informative, and oh so friendly. Although we did not ultimately chose this place due to distance and traffic concerns, she recommended a place near me that would match what I was looking for. She was right!! I called to thank her. Be aware, there may be a wait to get your child into this facility but it is well worth the wait, I am sure of it! They have been in business with nearly/over 20 years of expertise. These kinda of places are a dying breed! Thank you for your recommendation, Lori!
