Howell High School

I went to high school at this school and I only wish I still lived nearby so that my son could go there as well. This school does not have the fancy reputation of some of the other high schools in the Freehold Regional High School District, but it's a great place. In addition to the regular programs, it has AP classes. And also, it houses two special programs which are sort of like schools within the school-- one is a Performing Arts program and the other is called the Scholar Center for the Humanities. Any student in the district is eligible to apply for these programs and kids are bus-ed in from neighboring schools. The teachers are incredibly passionate in these two centers. I attended the performing arts center as an actor and I still keep in touch with many of the teachers there, many years later. A really caring place for kids and a great school.
