Ambassador Christian Academy

A parent: Ambassador prides themselves on creating a loving, family environment and this is certainly true.  They have Spanish from Kindergarten up, and use A Beka curriculum for the lower grades.  They have wonderful teachers, for the most part, and a very caring staff.  I would say that for the lower grades, it is an excellent choice.

The middle school is newer and is still working out some kinks.  They have some really excellent teachers, but have hired some inexperienced ones in the past didn't know how to teach or to discipline as well as they probably should have.  Discipline is occasionally an issue in the middle school, as the "family environment" seems to be a little too accepting of certain behaviors, and sometimes parents get in the way.  As with any small private school, there is always the political interaction of influential parents and church members to deal with.

The facilities they have are nice, clean and air-conditioned, but they really need more space.  They also are sadly lacking in technology in the classrooms, although they do have a very nice computer lab, which all the students use for classes every week.  I'm not a "sports" person so I can't address that area.

I would say that for grades K-4, they do a wonderful job both in education and in Christian guidance.  In grades 5-8, there is some room to improve, so I would recommend comparing to other schools in the area before making a decision.
